for the fourth ep on austere, irelands slowburn are welcomed into the fold. having impressed us with releases on uzuri and elektrosouls this ep will not disappoint fans of the label to kick things off we have the the hustle which sounds like something that prescription forgot to release back in the day! next up is broken document which delivers lovely warm analogue chords and pads interlaced with an 808 groove. the b-side starts off with do it using various samples to great effect to culminate in a unique deep house sound. finishing things off in much the same territory is from another angle which again brings the warm chords and pads, but also brings to the table some really delicate synth lines to create a surreal effect.

the cl interpretations, based on the sixth melted recordings release cl versions of echtzeit, were firstly divided into two sucessful releases: part 1 and 2. now that more artists of circle of friends of melted have done their own interpretations, a third part was released. this time all tracks were based on the same track three, but now with a wide-spread spectrum of techno – from melodic, deep and dubtech to harder, diffused and current state of the art techno. monomood, known from the melted recordings friended label etui records, starts with his constructive warm and melodic rebuild called 3cl of echo. also aerror is here into deep dubtechno, much different as his last version of part 1. sector varied his track for part 1 into a more deep dub but kicking techno track terminals rmx. bassart, an austrian techno and electro dj, comes a with highly diffused hard techno interpretation – his first vinyl appearance. it is the first techno track (called cotta re-dub) of bons on vinyl, too. he is in the circle of friends and supporter of melted for many years, since the start in 1999.

ly sander & michael j. collins join forces to bring you raoul06 via raoul, a deep, soothing ep. no response is a laid back and haunting piece, featuring warm bass and soaring pads. percussion is kept simple here, with the focus on the bass groove and introspective wording. home listening and chill out sessions arent complete without this air-y number. to bring it up a bit, the >deep space orchestra remix< lays a beat and a groove under the track and takes us to galactic depths. a cool energy is spread throughout and saucy percussion takes the levels higher. this is a late night dance track that gives goose bumps. it will certainly help to reconnect senses in the early morning. >russian roulette< displays nice use of delay and relaxed percussion. this hasnt got the boom of techno, but it does have the space-y synths and ambience to bring you up to your feet. when everything is in place, it feels right an afterparty delight.

an electro hacktivist since the 90s, french techno pionneer, inventor of what became electro clash with miss kittin, true italo disco lover, legitimate son of dopplereffekt and kraftwerk and godfather of the new french sensation gesaffelstein with whom he runs the label zone. when michel amato (his real name) contacted us with a few tracks we felt so honored. he really got back to his roots here with deep italo and electro, warm analog synths against cold robotic drum machines, great melodies. it would have been a hit on the now defunct cbs radio.

the magic of classic house music has always lain in the way it finds a soul in the machine, eking warm organic sounds from cold circuitry. and tracks dont come much warmer or more organic than >oranges<, a glorious eight-minute slow-burner thats the second single from wolverhampton producer mark es 2011 release stone breaker. >oranges< is a track that demonstrates how the simplest of ingredients — a quietly insistent four-to-the-floor rhythm, an understated bassline, synth pads that sound like the first intimations of a balearic sunrise — can combine to create something remarkable. anyone who has got the cd/digital release of stone breaker, of course, will know this already — but this release is the first chance to own this track on vinyl, as it was absent from the albums lp release. on the flipside is a remix of >oranges< by mark e himself: the appropriately-named space dub, a lindstrøm-esque reworking that transports the track from the dance floor to some distant orbit, drifting through space on a wash of lambent fuzz-toned synths. as different as they are, both tracks share a sense of both space and intimacy, a mellow charm that is evocative and inclusive. a soul in the machine.

first part of a trilogy, unforeseen alliances is a meeting of the french artist voiski aka kartei (dement3d, silicate records, wt records) and the duo deception plan, doryan javan based in paris and r. hernandez (historia and violencia, droid behaviour) based in los angeles. the techno in its purest expression … on the a side, voiski delivers a very strong deep techno track, perfect balance between mechanical drums and hypnotic melody : emotionally intense !! on the b side deception plan gives us two version of a heavy and warm techno track : raw and sophisticated.

a vanguard touch for a classic gold work on loose records by the label boss rino cerrone and flavio diaz, with an epic re-editing and two remixes by tom hades and jake childs. first one made a lot of releases for mb elektronics and rhythm converted, jake childs is famous for his success remix of blazes lovelee dae on om records. miseno is a mix of funky and old school techno melodies, with a strong kick and a warm bass line, the hi hat gives a sliding rhythm to the groove. the hypnotic synth is the essence of this track, very tasteful but very techno. extraordinary wiring makes a second step with jake childs, with a carrying tech - house beat and a funky bass line. everything is rhythmic and moved on by a minimal synth which runs on the track shaking the people on the dance floor. a tribal mood on a tech - house beat, the sub bass is pushed on by a powerful kick and the synth bass makes the track very strong. energetic tune and very good stuff for take a dance, just another last cigarette for tom hades too. a magic and innovative rework from loose records, the fusion of different styles enclosed in one release, enjoy

the album was unanimously praised and confirmed krazy as a special planet in the ed rec galaxy. depending on his mood, his music can be somber and melancholy or experimental, and with no warning slide into a warm almost poppy funk. his comps can be either built on a classical or jazz base, with funky synths and organic electro sounds, mostly with powerful bass lines inspired by british bass-music. for his second album the noise in the sky, krazy baldhead delved into his 70s influences: while on tour for the b-suite, he traveled by day listening to 70s.

diynamic virtuoso stimming returns with a classic three-tracker, showcasing his skill and everlasting talent to surprise. again and again he reveals that his name stands for quality and permanent transubstantiation. the opener, windowshopping, is a catchy, floating and harmonic groover introducing the springtime, slightly transporting its warm breeze directly onto your skin. epic moog-stabs,string-hits, shuffled shakers and electric vocals are telling the story about of a stranger whos walking around a city-center during nighttime. on b1 stimming comes along with an old and firm friend. south african lazarusman, wellknown from stimmings funk with me or chang , again demonstrates his unique talent to deal with words, explaining that its not stimming but every listener himself which makes the song come alive. november morning is the slowest track stimming ever released so far. its name is program. weird violin-sounds, organic percussions and everlasting groove create a grey and moody vibe absorbing the listener.

the formation tojami sessions - consisting of michel niepenberg, tom bucher and jacek darnowski hailing from frankfurt - is a new project on dessous records, yetl their members are already veterans in the game: tom and jacek have been producing together since ‘92 and are best known for their releases on the raum…musik label using the pseudonym skiebÄck. in ‘99 tom joined the crew as drum player. digging a diverse variety of house music, their first dessous 3 tracker sits perfectly within the labels sound aesthetic. >depth< is a long building journey - providing moments of deep contemplation before lifting you higher again with the injection of sheer, raw energy: a fierce kicking bassdrum, congas and a strong bassline that sneaks in through the backdoor are smoothed out by strings, warm chords and a nicely flowing rhodes solo. >fame< oozes with funk - raw, metallic rhyhtms that owe something to vintage chicago. they keep it classic with the closing track >lake st. clair< that sports a bumpy analogue bassline and shimmering keys. dessous records still riding high!

following last years >erriapo< 12 inch, which was charted by the likes of agoria and left critics comparing his unique non-linear grooves to the likes of gas, the sight below, mark e, aphex twin, brian eno, carl craig, mika vainio and isolee, here are five more masterpieces from his repertoire.

magic wire label head lone picks another smasher, aptly titled delirium tremens, from the elusive neon jung with a suitably precise re-edit from nathan fake on the b.side, fresh after his last remix for radiohead. delirium tremens takes on flavours of garage, soul and psychedelia and glues it all together with an armour plated, mutant electro backbone designed to make the dancefloor lose it for 4 minutes but still keeps the soul firmly intact. its another demonstration of neon jungs ability to take influences from many genres and join the dots to create something fresh, but with all the right reference points to make this accessible to everyone from your backpacking beat head to the hardcore club frequenters. the bass in the first drop of this track is just berserk – theres no other word for it. the b side sees nathan fake up the tempo but draw it out, making this perfect for the more patient crowd. it has nathans signature beat all over it – it rotates, swings and soars gloriously until it finally ends in a warm afterglow, complementing the original perfectly in its grower not a shower approach.

the popcorn machine is proud to announce its fifth outing with his german and romantic friend daso. being one of the most talented producer in the recent electronic music circus, daso released on labels such as connaisseur, flash records, spectral sound and more. his tracks are played by many prominent djs and can be found on countless compilations. the head title here, all my people gathers a collection of generous and warm house sounds sprinkled with techno sonorities. this emotional track abruptly and unexpectedly changes into a truly techno hymn.

after releases on gigolo, rush hour, planet e, night drive music and we play house, french producer sebastien san comes up with more great stuff: the >asylum e.p.< on hamburg based label couldnt care more (who only just made a deep impression with the oliverwho factorys i can see) is made to be played on every dancefloor there is. with the hypnotic techno-soundscapes of title track asylum sebastien san created one of his best tracks ever and the other two tracks are of same quality. uptempo track does compute is driven by inescapable hooks while alpha centauri slows it down a little with warm but inclined strings, chicago house claps and a subtly pulsating bassline.
